SO LIKE, it’s 7x17 and word goes on the grapevine pretty fast that Dean and Castiel are working together, AND MEG IS LIKE—!

OF COURSE SHE IS. And it’s not that she was surprised when Cas fell in a lake and drowned or whatever the story is ‘cos I mean she also heard he was eaten by monsters, so hey, but now he’s back apparently. (This all just sounds so typical of him.) This is potentially excellent news about a former powerful-person-who-didn’t-always-want-to-kill-her, and it’s not that she’s elated, but we can say that she is cautiously pleased. She doesn’t have many friends left. She knows for a fact that Castiel doesn’t either.
And I want to see what took place between Castiel absorbing Lucifer and the Winchesters leaving him in Meg’s hands, ‘cos I bet she suggested the idea, I bet the Winchesters hated it. Leave him with me. Dean says, “Give me one good reason,” and she gives him ten. Sam is reluctant; Dean eventually concedes.
I wonder if Godstiel ever tried to look for Meg. I wonder if it was to smite her or to indulge in nostalgia, her being his remaining exception, his last vice. Maybe he wants a QUEEN TO RULE BY HIS SIDE trollololol, idk. It would be smart of her to try and keep out of Godstiel’s radar though, all things considered.
Okay, I’m just linking you to the damn fail!bang (remember, almost totally unbeta’d) because I think with the timey-wimey wibbly-wobbly stuff I was sort of edging for before the end of season six Joss’d the shit out of it and I forgot where I was going will combine perfectly with your whole “them starting this back in 5x17” and also continuing to bone throughout the Godstiel era etc — you’ve got the key to making this story I’ve mourned over for two years and I don’t and if you can make this happen, I will do something beyond making unicorns fart rainbows for you.
